KPMG - Impact Campaign

Our brief was to create a trailer for senior staff at BT, to promote a new way of thinking and potential new direction within the company. Driven by Cisco/Meraki, the main challenges being the enormous amount of information to digest and condense into a 3-min film, as well as the lack of available time of the high level audience. Combining relatable scenarios with on-screen graphics, we drove the message through a humorous device in the voiceover, having each character take on the role of who they were being narrated by. We reinforced the concepts with literal lightbulb moments, intentionally jarring to force the viewer to stop and take in whats being said. Shot during CV-19, with all government and industry protocols strictly adhered to.

Working in partnership with Beagle Media, we conceptualised, wrote scripts, storyboarded, shot and edited a series of seven films for KPMG’s Impact Campaign. The pace of this job was, quite simply, staggering and without a great team this would have not been delivered on time, or to such a positive response.

At one stage, in the space of 48 hours, we had captured films from three separate continents. Our Creative Director, Marcus Bird, remotely directed six shoots in six different countries, due to covid protocols, while using our local crew in the UK to capture the London based film. We then took the proxy downloads to quickly create rough cuts of each film, before the hard drives had even arrived at our edit suite.

To be able to work on such powerful and emotionally resonant films with such a high profile client, is a real privilege and we’re so proud to have been able to keep the films authentic and true to their purpose. An enormous challenge but an equal delight.
